Type of the activity: Capacity Building (Training or Workshop). Teaching and develop knowledge, skills and techniques in a particular field. While training can have any form, workshops are more formal and also include exchange of information between participants.
Virtual and face-to-face training that allows the medical student to be trained, ensuring the acquisition of sufficient knowledge and appropriate basic technical skills, in the main contents and competences that the general practitioner should know about legal medicine.
– Phase 1 (February): Correct filling of the Death Certificate (National and International Standards).
– Phase 2 (November):
o Concept and auxiliary sciences of Legal Medicine.
o Proper completion of the removal of corpses.
o Description and assessment of the injuries that cause death.

The Legal Medicine is part of the curriculum of the Medicine career, but, it has not been clearly identified what it is, what are its objectives and, therefore, its importance in the medical-clinical exercise, so that its correct application practice in medicine, because when these purposes are achieved, the medical professional can define the exercise of their professional practice to know what it can and should do, ensuring legal security, because it will avoid trials for medical malpractice.
Objectives and indicators of success:
– General Objective: To provide the medical student with the necessary knowledge about the medical-legal principles necessary to solve problems in the legal field that need medicine as a fundamental tool.
– Specific Objectives:
o Provide the student with knowledge about the national and international standards of the death certificate.
o Train the medical student for the correct filling of the death certificate.
o Train the student so that he / she performs an adequate and correct removal of a corpse.
o Provide the student with the legal tools on which the medical-legal exercise is based.
o Provide the student with the tools so that he / she can do an adequate physical examination and that he / she can interpret the assessment of the corporal damage.
o Train the future health professional when and how to report a crime and in what situations the doctor is involved in one.
– Success Indicators: Number of virtual trainings carried out, of face-to-face trainings made, of workshops given by professionals, Level of knowledge acquired by students about filling out the death certificate, Number of informative virtual campaigns published in the social networks of local societies.

Plans for evaluation:
The monitoring of the different activities carried out by the LOME according to what is established in the guidelines of the activity that was sent to each of them, will be done through consecutive meetings with the same where there is a feedback and is directed to the local official with the necessary guidelines for the development of the activity, after which the evaluation of the activity will be done through graphic evidence (photographs, videos, list of the number of students attending the training, certificate issued by the WHO course / PAHO) of the different activities carried out by the various local societies.
