General description:

we devided AMR week in 3 steps . a) the competition and exhibition b) the clinincal session in LCs c) the press conference . It was a very innovative idea and first time happening in Bangladesh . We opened the event a month back and started doing promotions through social media and posters , even paid boosters . Then many non medic showed interest and requested to participate . For them we also posted explanatory posts and photos in our event page and for starters we posted status on memes and cartoons . We got huge response from people 43 submissions . We carefully selected the judges , one a vascular surgeon and a researcher , another one Ex president of BMSS and lastly a very famous international cartoonist , who showed enthusiasm and volunteer to be a judge . We worked on sponsors. We had our drawbacks such as man power and money ( sponsors ) and time bind . For these drawbacks we couldn’t start the next mass plan we had but we succeed in completing the first and second step .

Focus area:

Reduce incidence of Antimicrobial Resistance

Problem statement:

AMR is a ignored alarming issue .It is growing fastly enough to be called an epidemic . In 3rd world countries the situation is much more tight . Most people use antibiotics indiscriminately and develop AMR , which becomes an obstacle in post recovery ward . 80% of this patients dont have enough money to buy drug of higher efficacy or foreign brands . So they suffer from septic shock & death . Mass people should know how they should take their antimicrobial drugs to not fall into AMR trap .

General population, Medical students, Healthcare Students, Other Students, Doctors, Other health professionals, Children, Youth, Women, Migrants, Refugees, People with disabilities, Elderly people, Homeless people, LGBTQIA+ community, Incarcerated individuals
