Sebitar is a translation app (from french to local dialect) destined for algerian medical practitioners to help them communicate with patients in an optimal way.

Problem statement:

Medical studies in Algeria are exclusively in french, which is a foreign language in an arabic speaking country. This creates difficulties for medical practitioners to explain the diagnosis to patients, thus, a high rate of unsatisfation among these latters leading them to ignore their treatments.

Objectives and indicators of success:

Provide a tool for all medical practitioner to translate medical terms from french to the local dialect on the fly with the click of a button in order to optimize the communication with patients (the number of downloads, reviews of the app and the satisfaction of patiens will be the indicators)

Methodology:

Gathering a complete list of medical terms and their translation in the local dialect for each region in Algeria then making them accessible through an App which will be free for everyone to download on their phones.

Plans for evaluation:

App downloading platforms provides statistical tools to assess the number of downloads and active users.

Analysing users reviews for feedbacks.

Rating patients’ satisfaction after deploying the app with them.
