Analysis had shown that our lectures have affect – they encourage students towards blood donations, blood marrow and organ donations. According to the data from Centre of transfusion medicine of University Clinical Center of Maribor, number of people who give blood is on the rise in the last few years.
Our activities include lectures about blood, blood marrow and organ donation which are carried out in high schools all over the country. We are also present at organized events from Centre of transfusion medicine Maribor, where people blood donations take place. Here we promote blood, blood marrow and organ donation among young people – students. They can also become a bone marrow donor and organ donor after signing the entry statement.
Plans for evaluation:
After every lecture we give the participants a short questionnaire in which we ask them if our lecture had an impact on their decision towards blood, blood marrow and organ donation. They also have to evaluate the person that carried out the lecture. At the end of every year we collect all of the data and construct graphs and other visual materials in order to gain perspective and expose our weaknesses to eliminate them.
